Founded in 2010, Wood Studio is a collaborative design studio rooted in the desire to design and build authentic architecture that is beautifully simple in composition and wonderfully complex in experience. Educated at the University of Virginia before relocating to Seattle in 2009, husband and wife, Barrett and Amy Eastwood, began their careers practicing architecture in various firms in Virginia and Maryland, became a licensed architect as well as contractor (Barrett) and taught Architecture at the University of Virginia (Amy). They are passionate about meeting the needs of clients while striving for an honest use of materials and craftsmanship. From home renovations, modular design, pre-approved accessory dwelling units, to theatrical set design and custom furniture, the couple has been serving the Seattle area for the past 15 years and continues to expand their practice while caring for their three young children. Family focused, the partners believe in nurturing client relationships and the power of architecture to strengthen human connection to each other and to the restorative beauty of the natural environment. They strive for each work to be rooted in the history of the site, solve the needs and desires of the present, and be built of quality for lasting satisfaction.
